LEONARDO TOMASI

Leonardo Tomasi (1996), works in theater as an actor, director and playwright. 

He has collaborated with several theater realities as actor, author or organizer, among others SardegnaTeatro, Batisfera, L'Effimero Meraviglioso, Meridiano Zero, Nuovo Teatro Sanità.  

He studied in various workshops and higher education programs (ERT/Laika Theater of Senses; IDRA Factory; Progetto Te.S.eO.- TSV; Continuing Education - SardegnaTeatro). 

He’s been part of creative residency programs such as 
R-evolution and DeStructura. 

In recent years, he has been developing collaborative works with various groups and individual artists, in a research interested in audience participation and storytelling failure.

Scrambling between auditions for dramas about Banditism and tourist commercials, two 30-year-old Sardinians try to make ends meet by searching for the role best suited to them. Inspired by a twisted sense of identity, armed with berritas and Ichnusa beers, the two organize fake kidnappings, honoring the old glories of their land. The cultural and criminal association proves successful, but what happens when the terrorist role begins to coincide with their identity?

On stage is a table, a gang of criminals, a few packs of chips, some
bottles of Ichnusa and a bulky Sardinian pride. In a mixture of documentary theater, country festivals and 1970s cop movies, the bandits rehearse jokes, study floor plans, and organize the plan for the next heist, in front of a complicit and sequestered audience.

anonimasequestri is the demand for an identity ransom; it is the kidnapping of unknowns; the failed attempt to go into hiding in the hope of being arrested, reported.
